World War 1 was a really sad war and thousands of soldiers died to defend their country. The war was settled at Trenches and its called "Trench Warfare." There is a place in the trench in the middle called No Man's Land and its the place where opposing soldiers shoot each other. No Man's Land is part of the trench warfare and it is really dangerous to go there beause it's full of mines, poison gas, and soldiers are always prepared in No Man's Land so you need to be prepared to go there.

Each trenches iin both sides are full of defense. On the top of their trenches, there is a machine gun. Machine gun is on the top because it cn kill hundreds of soldiers in a minute and it shoots really fast that no one can dodge it.

Soldiers on trenches had a lot of suffer because it is almost impossible to sleep, it is really dirty, there is not that much food, they only wear one pair of clothes, and most of the soldiers are only thinking how are they going to survive
